The label Mille Plateaux focuses on concepts like virtuality, noise, machinism and digitality. Inspired by the great French philosopher Gilles Deleuze, Mille Plateaux has become the world's most prolific and respected experimental electronic music label. Established in 1993, Mille Plateaux has paved the way for establishing career for such artists as Alec Empire, Khan, Christian Vogel, Oval, Pluramon, Thomas Köner, Terr Thaemlitz, GASA, Vladislav Delay, Curd Duca and so many others. Mille Plateaux is also renown for its quality )and highly conceptual) compilations -the massive "Electric Ladyland" series that explored the sounds of abstract breaks and beats, the "Modulations and Transformations" series that defies the state of genres and has continued to influence future experimentation.
